“My stay at the Little Prince”
Reviewed 2 November 2012 NEW
Wow , what a kistch room !!
Chandra and Eddy were so helpful it was better than being at home.
Delightful !! (I m not being paid for this comment hahahah )
This quaint little hotel is located very near, walking distance 3 min. from the touristic centre, no lift but you will be helped up the stairs if you need it. It has 2 roof tops, both with a nice view and on first roof which is covered by blinds so u dont feel either the heat or the cold, you can have breakfast, take a drink, lie on couch, use your laptop, sleep, and enjoy your time there.

Room Tip: Made a mistake when selecting, the hotel has no pool but Just feel at home, make friends there.

We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed the relaxed feel to this hotel. The staff were great, food very nice and rooms full of character and clean. There is a lovely semi enclosed roof area which was great for relaxing in. Location is good. In a quieter part of town near some nice restaurants but only a 5min walk over the bridge into the main town. Bonus was free pick up from station. Big thanks to all the staff there.

“A casual stay..”
Reviewed 30 October 2012 NEW
The Little Prince Heritage Home has a common lounge area in the top most floor where one can see almost all of the beautiful sights of Udaipur. We had the Maharani suite which had an haveli inside the room. The room was clean and was fairly sized. The bathroom could have been better and so could have been the towels and the linens, especially the ones in the haveli area in-room. Even the laundered ones did not smell fresh. The onsite restaurant in the lounge area was very reasonable cost wise and also churned out fresh food. The lads running the place were very honest and had good recommendations. There is quite a bit of walking up and down the stairs. The heritage home is walking distance to all the main attractions. Overall, a casual place to crash for the night....

we booked this hotel thru after looking review on tripadvisor, hotel is clean and look like heritage property and roof top restaurant with the view of lake with lake palace, Staff were all very accommodating, I'm having a very hard time typing now because my right index finger got slashed by a knife this morning as I was chopping fruits, then i call to Chandra and he helped me bandage it up quickly, but I was in throbbing pain for a while. Since we were able to stop the bleeding, I decided not to go to a doctor, as I thought stitched would not be necessary. but Chandra told us to go to the doctor, then she took me to the doctor, he is very nice person, i recommend this to all my friends

“Comfort at budget prices”
Reviewed 23 March 2012
There are lots of options in Udaipur and Little Prince is an excellent choice. We had a good size, en suite clean and comfortable double room with fan, tv and hot water. It is 5 mins walking to the old city gates (Lal ghat).
We arrived at 5.30am, no problem to let us check in early, and we moved to a cheaper room a few hours later when it became available. The staff are friendly and helpful, and genuinely concerned when I became I'll (eating somewhere else). There is a sunny roof terrace, restaurant with reasonably priced food and drinks.
We inquired about a late check out and were told "no problem, this is your home", this guesthouse truly is a home from home. It's an absolute bargain with friendly staff, fast and free wifi and a great location. We would return without hesitation.

i have been staying in the little prince for almost 2 month and it is defenetly my favorite place
in the 2 years that im traveling.
what made my expirience so good there is the family and the stuff who work there (papu, ramon, max, babar and kobra) and all the wonderfull friends who use to come there everyday. they were my family from the first week.
the chef there is the best in india- it's a promise.
the location is very good
and the rooms very cleen
but the people make the place.
they will do for you everything you want.
if you want to go somewhere by bike just ask ramon for his beautiful bike.
if you want to use the kitchen by your self also possible.
you want cooking class- just ask babar the chef to teech you.
papu will range you everything you need.

Room Tip: tell them you are friends of boby from israel

I have been living in Udaipur for 5 months, working for an NGO, from Sept 2011 to Feb 2012. I often came to "The Little Prince" with my coworkers and friends, at least once a week, to kick back after field trips and office work. It was great to have a good and friendly place to have a few beers, a excellent roasted chicken and watch some football on Sundays.

The food is very good and the prices are very reasonable, I have never accentually stayed in the rooms,

all of the guest houses and restaurants i tried in Udaipur, the Little Prince is diffidently my favorite!

My girlfriend and I came and stayed at the Little Prince for Valentines day and were wonderfully surprised by how elegant and outfitted all the rooms were. The walls were covered with beautiful art creating a charming palace like feel and the service was top of the line. Free Wifi was provided and every room comes equipped with bathrooms, tv's and a cozy little window perch to relax and read a book on. The view from the room is breathtaking and the food was delicious. When compared to prices else where in Udaipur we could not find a better value for our money, here, nor anywhere else in India thus far. Definitely recommend staying here for anyone coming to visit the Romantic capital of India.

This is by far the nicest hotel in Udaipur; especially for the money! It is a new hotel and everything is in new working order with full length mirrors, nice lighting with a bedside lamp, western baths, lots of plug-in outlets to re-charge everything..... So lovely! You are truly treated in a family manner and the owner and staff are extremely helpful. The rooftop restaurant has a fabulous view of the Lake Palace Hotel in Lake Pichola and the city.

We arrived in Udaipur by bus very early in the morning without booking a hotel, all we wanted was a cheap place with a hot shower as we were not staying the night and travelling on. We ended up falling in love with Udaipur and this guest house was a major reason why.
It is quit

e new and has few rooms (around 6?), all rooms have hot showers and were immaculate. The house also had a cosy, semi-open roof top restaurant with cheap and decent food. The roof top is one of the higher points among surrounding buildings giving you a 360 degree view of the whole city with all the attractions visible.
Lastly the owner of the guest house is warm and frank, he also helped out with bus ticket bookings for us.
Stay at The Little Prince Guest House to make your Udaipur trip memorable!

“Best place I've stayed at in India, twice now!”
Reviewed 29 January 2012
My friend Nick recommended Little Prince to me, saying that it was very good value, comfortable and clean rooms, but best of all had absolute crankers of staff who helped you with anything, wanted nothing from you and would just sit about their charming rooftop restaurant (wit
h sheesha and beer), being throughly entertaining and cool.

Aside from Udaipur being the most charming city in India I visited, this was easily the most enjoyable (and best value) guest house I stayed at. Much nicer than its price suggests and a view second to none. It was so good, in fact, I came back a second time. I would like to make it a hattrick.

A little corner of paradise in India. Very good address. Reasonable price, service friendly, very clean (which is not easy to find in India). The staff are very helpful, the rooms are GORGEOUS and the sunset from the roof top ... this is the top. No chance of being disappointed by Babu and his team.

“Excellent choice in Udaipur”

This guesthouse is not output when the guides, because it is newly opened, but is an excellent choice for a great days in Udaipur. It is located across the lake but well served by having the bridges to a minute. The hotel is new and the rooms and their bathrooms are spotless, with clean sheets and towels, toilet paper, hot water and free wifi 24hours. The treatment has been exquisite, like a real family! always attentive and we even decorated the room with flower petals for Valentine! we love it!
